Album Info:The sun has been out for two days in the entire month of February in the Chicagoland area and unfortunately this wasn't one of them. Although the sun did peek out a few times the day was generally dominated by clouds, high winds and periods of heavy rain but the temps were mild and I certainly did not want to sit indoors with cabin fever. Braving the weather was worth it, as today was the busiest day I have ever seen at Dolton. Trains were literally lined up to go through the crossing all day, with breaks in the action lasting no more than 5 to 10 minutes. Trains came from all directions on all three mainlines (except southbound on the UP) and several switch movements between the lines occurred. The venerable bottle train also made an appearance. With the amount of trains I shot in this album in a short period of time, I still missed at least three trains due to being blocked by another train or being out of place. Locations include Dolton Crossing itself, CP Cottage Grove, IHB's Blue Island Yard, & UP's Yard Center. All pics in this album were taken between 12pm and 3:30pm CST.
